Day 35: Giv'at Ha-Shlosha to Ra'anana

Day 35: Giv'at Ha-Shlosha to Ra'anana

Day 35, April 3: Yarkon unbelievably boring. Very hot and humid. Finally finished and took a bath at Idan's.

The Yarkon River (a small muddy stream - remember, all bodies of water are an order of magnitude smaller over there) leads down into Tel Aviv and the Mediterranean. The hiking was pretty drab, despite the streambanks being thick with attractive eucalyptus trees.

I finally met up with Joyce in Tel Aviv and we caught a bus to Idan's house in nearby Ra'anana. Our trail break there had been much anticipated in our tiny sub-culture's mythos, and it proved to be everything we hoped for (see next entry).
